The Life of a Monogamist

Day 1: Your current relationship

Everyone who knows me will know I'm a serial monogamist. When I meet someone I feel a connection with, I don't throw that chance away, even if it's not always the right time in my life. Sometimes I can be selfish, I definitely have been in the past and I regret some of my decisions concerning my relationships, but I'm happy to be in one. I'm more than happy to be in my current one.

I met my boyfriend in my first year through a friend who was interested in my friend. Her now boyfriend, was determined to get us two together even back then, but we barely spoke. We hung out a few times as friends in a group on nights out, but that was as far as our relationship went. It wasn't until much later into 2013, and into my second year, that we finally started to talk a bit more and began hanging out outside of the SU surroundings.

I prefer to keep my current relationship a bit more private when it comes to my blog, as I feel I shared too much about my previous ones. Our time together is spent smiling and laughing, often cuddled up watching films like a cliche couple but that doesn't bother me one bit. He brings out a better side of me; I'm healthier, more motivated, working harder and I'm not half as lazy as I used to be. And I'm so grateful for all of this. Maybe I'm not as fun in other people's eyes because I go out a lot less (this is more so due to my financial situation) but the time I spend with my boyfriend, sober (as I'm a total ass when I drink anyway) I believe is much better time spent!

My boyfriend doesn't like cats that much. Throw things at him.

I tried my hardest not to make this soppy and unreadable, so fingers crossed I haven't got everyone throwing up haha!
